$19,000 raised for Special Olympics in 1 night by Fort Smith Board of Realtors
Trivia Night with the Fort Smith Board of Realtors has turned out to be a huge success for raising money for Special Olympics. Last year’s event raised $14,000.
This year, an amazing $19,000 was raised!!
People got teams together for an evening of fun in support of a great cause; Special Olympics! Even in a struggling economy, it’s great to see people come out and continue to give freely with their time and money.
Trivia Night is one event the Fort Smith Board of Realtors supports for Special Olympics. Last year, the FSBOR raised almost $25,000 for the organization, and was one of the largest board contributors in the state!
I am positive we will raise more that $25,000 this year!
The Fort Smith Board of Realtors have raised a lot of money for the Special Olympics, but we know our job is not complete. We’ve got more events during the year to build upon our current amount. So many lives have been positively influenced through such efforts. You can do your part and donate to Special Olympics!
I would really like to thank Brenda Garrett with Bradford and Udouj Realtors! Brenda takes great ownership as our Chairperson for Special Olympics. Multiple Offers a Myth in Fort Smith Real Estate Market??
The Fort Smith Real Estate Market saw the good old’ days of multiple offers and few days on the market. A couple years ago, and everyone loved it.
Are those days long gone? Not totally!
The Fort Smith Real Estate Market still has some very competitive homes on the market, and the Fort Smith Housing Market is getting better.
I just listed a house. A few days later. Baam!!! Kaboom!!! Multiple offers on the table and I’ve got a seller that has some decisions to make!!! Problem? That’s a good problem to have!
Home sales in Fort Smith are down, but not drastically.
If your home is on the market in the Fort Smith area, it is vital that you POSITION your home to sell! You’ve got to do more than just slap a coat of paint on the wall. You’ve got to do more than just plant some flowers in the front yard. My good friend, Lynda Eisenmann has an awesome Blog post pertaining to Position vs. Pricing.
You’ve got to POSITION yourself ahead of your competition! The pricing of your home is very important, but in a difficult market, you’ve got to do everything you can to POSITION your more effectively in a competitive market. You have to POSITION ahead of of your competitors with: Price, Condition, Appeal, and Value. I will cover these key components in a future post.

Fort Smith Real Estate, Southfield Heights Market Update
The Fort Smith Real Estate Market has had it's fair share of ups and downs just like any market. Southfield Heights in Fort Smith has stayed relatively steady. It's important to understand. ALL MARKETS ARE NOT THE SAME. There are area's around the country and in the state that have taken a sad turn for the worse. The same can apply to different area's of town.
The average home sold in Southfield Heights over the past 6 months is $159,966. The average sold price per square foot is $91.91 and 135 average days on the market. The average day on the market is pretty consistent for the area.
So if you are selling, be patient, price it right, and your home should sell. I did say, "Price it Right" didn't I?
